It’s hard to believe but another school year is quickly coming to a close!
Just as the Class of 2019 prepares to take all that they’ve learned at Urban Pathways 6 – 12 Charter School and apply it to a brand-new chapter in their lives, we want to prepare for the upcoming commencement ceremony.
To make this a memorable night for all of our hard-working seniors, we wanted to share some important information about this exciting event.
The 2019 commencement ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. in the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
Graduation Information for UPCS Seniors
If you haven’t done so already, please make sure that you’ve purchased your cap and gown at the front office. They are available for $25 and once paid, you will be given a receipt to present to Mrs. Love to receive your cap and gown.
Graduation practice will be held on Wednesday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m. with Mrs. Love and Mr. Bonner.
Graduation practice is mandatory and must be completed in order to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Graduation Information for Family Members
Tickets for the event are not for sale as each graduating senior is allotted 13 tickets for the commencement ceremony. The tickets must be presented to an Urban Pathways staff member at the registration table outside of the ballroom on the night of the event.
Guests without tickets will not be allowed inside of the ballroom and will be escorted off the premises by Convention Center security.
Parking is available at the Convention Center for a flat fee of $14. There are several parking garages in the surrounding area as well.
Please note that balloons are not permitted at the Convention Center and will be taken upon entry.
