About No Labels
To provide support to students and encourage them to be comfortable in their own skin to live their truth.
To be there for students who lack support in their home and community for being who they identify themselves to be.
No Labels hosted a Pride Day at UPCS in support of LGBTQ youth. Students were permitted to dress down and wear colors of the rainbow to symbolize their support. An assembly occurred in the afternoon for interested students. The assembly included students learning about No Labels, viewing a short inspirational video, and engaging in a panel discussion with LGBTQ community members from the GLCC, Persad Center, and the LGBTQ + Council. There was a brief reception following with refreshments.
No Labels students visited the Gay and Lesbian Community Center (GLCC). They learned about the different events and activities that take place, toured the center, and checked out the 2nd largest library in the US for the LGBTQ community.
No Labels members prepare candy canes for the whole high school. Each candy cane is wrapped in a fact about LGBTQ youth.
No Labels is sponsoring a Coat Drive from November 7-18. Students and staff are encouraged to bring in gently used or new coats to assist families in need. Coats will be collected during breakfast in the cafeteria. You may contact Ms. Beck with questions.
