Creating a Culture of Respect at Urban Pathways
Your Way UP, is what we strive to embody every day at Urban Pathways as we continually work to empower students to be the best versions of themselves and to realize their unique pathways to success. Just as our staff encourages students, students also encourage one another. That’s what makes our Panthers Peer 2 Peer (P2P) Mentoring Program so powerful.
The goal of our P2P Mentoring Program is to provide opportunities for our high school students (mentors) to develop and strengthen their leadership skills to serve as positive role models for our younger students (mentees) at Urban Pathways. The P2P Mentoring Program meets every other Thursday in the library. During those meetings, students engage in “match” activities that are both fun and skill related.
These activities help our students meet the goals of the program as they work alongside program supervisors, Ms. Ty Beck, and Mr. Darnell Bonner, creating a successful and safe environment for everyone involved.
Students in grades 6 -12 are invited to join the P2P Mentoring Program.
