Fishing Club

Reeling in Extra Fun

From reducing stress to improving patience, fishing offers the chance to unplug from the fast-paced world around us and reconnect with nature and our peers.

These are just a few of the many reasons that we created the Fishing Club at Urban Pathways.

This is a seasonal club that typically meets once a week (weather permitting) in the early fall and late spring.

During the meetings, our students are given the opportunity to explore the great outdoors in their city. Club members normally fish in the Allegheny River where they’ve had great success to date!

Fishing rods and bait, as well as training on how to bait, cast, and properly handle fish are provided.

For more information, please reach out to the club advisor, Mr. Samuel Prokopik.
